Homework

Homework is an important part of school life but it should not be taking over life out of school!

At Victoria Dock Primary School we expect the children to come to school and work hard. As long as they do that they should be able to go home and do a little homework each week (up to one hour) and enjoy being a child - playing and learning other things through play! Some children do of course really enjoy writing and doing mathematics and other ‘academic’ things and in these instances, they may wish to spend hours and hours studying and doing homework.

If your child has worked hard at school and you have not been informed/discussed otherwise, any homework given that takes more than one hour may be left (if you so wish).

This week’s homework can be found in your child’s year group.

A Message From the Head Teacher

Mr. KiteMr. Kite

At Victoria Dock Primary School all children will be given opportunities and experiences to inspire them to be the very best they can be. We know that every child is different and every child is great in many ways. Through true collaboration and sharing of ideas and views we will give the children every possible chance to shine – together we can make your children’s time at school the very best it can possibly be and help to unlock their talents.

The academic year 2012/2013 is now well into the final term but there are still many weeks left of valuable learning time. Let us make the most of every day and continue to strive for excellence in all we do.

As always, we are working together for your children.
